About Us

Welcome to the Muzzle 2 Tail Inc. Family!

At Muzzle 2 Tail Inc., we believe in the life-changing power of the horse and the meaningful connections that can be built through equine-assisted experiences. Located in Lincoln, Delaware, our facility is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where individuals of all ages and abilities can grow in confidence, skill, and independence through therapeutic riding and horsemanship.

Muzzle 2 Tail is owned and operated by Shelby Givens Meyer, a PATH International Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI) and approved mentor through the PATH International program. Shelby brings deep passion, hands-on experience, and a strong commitment to education into every aspect of the program. Her approach centers on both horse and rider wellbeing, ensuring each participant receives individualized instruction and support.

In addition to therapeutic riding services, Muzzle 2 Tail offers a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor Internship Program. Under Shelby’s direct supervision, interns can complete their required training hours and mentorship toward obtaining their CTRI certification through PATH International. This internship provides real-world experience, professional guidance, and a supportive learning environment for those pursuing a career in therapeutic riding.

At our core, Muzzle 2 Tail is about community, growth, and opportunity. Whether you are a rider, volunteer, intern, or supporter, you are part of a place where progress is celebrated, connections are built, and every journey is valued from muzzle to tail.

My name is Lexi, and I am known as a lover of cats, horses, and the color purpe. Growing up in South Jersey, I have been a horse girl most of my life. I spent years competing in hunters, but now I ride just for fun. I have spent the last decade working for DOC, where I run Delaware's Prison Artwork Program. When I am not working I am taking care of my animals or traveling somewhere new. I have three horses at home, and five cats. I know horses having amazing therapeutic benefits and I am thrilled to be able to share my passion with others.

Dolly specializes in helping individuals release long-held emotional patterns, subconscious beliefs, and habits that no longer serve them. Her approach is rooted in safety, respect, and curiosity, using techniques such as hypnosis, parts work, visualization, and nervous system–informed practices. She believes that symptoms are meaningful signals and that healing occurs when the subconscious feels safe.
