At Muzzle 2 Tail Inc., we believe in the life-changing power of the horse and the meaningful connections that can be built through equine-assisted experiences. Located in Lincoln, Delaware, our facility is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where individuals of all ages and abilities can grow in confidence, skill, and independence through therapeutic riding and horsemanship.
Muzzle 2 Tail is owned and operated by Shelby Givens Meyer, a PATH International Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI) and approved mentor through the PATH International program. Shelby brings deep passion, hands-on experience, and a strong commitment to education into every aspect of the program. Her approach centers on both horse and rider wellbeing, ensuring each participant receives individualized instruction and support.
In addition to therapeutic riding services, Muzzle 2 Tail offers a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor Internship Program. Under Shelby’s direct supervision, interns can complete their required training hours and mentorship toward obtaining their CTRI certification through PATH International. This internship provides real-world experience, professional guidance, and a supportive learning environment for those pursuing a career in therapeutic riding.
At our core, Muzzle 2 Tail is about community, growth, and opportunity. Whether you are a rider, volunteer, intern, or supporter, you are part of a place where progress is celebrated, connections are built, and every journey is valued from muzzle to tail.

Volunteers are the heart of Muzzle 2 Tail.
Whether you love horses or are simply looking for a meaningful way to give back, we welcome those who want to make a difference.
Volunteers assist with therapeutic riding lessons, horse care, barn support, events, and more. No prior experience is required, and we provide training, though candidates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
